A challenge like NaPodPoMo allows for free-flowing creativity. You could change the focus of your show from week to week. You can experiment with different topics to see which one resonates with you most. You may think you have several ideas you want to turn into a podcast, but want to try them out. Think of these short-run mini-series within your podcast as a sort of proving ground.

You’ll know one way or the other which ideas hold your interest. There is real power in the act of doing that informs so much of what you will do.

So yeah, totally give yourself permission to change your show. Just take your listeners on the journey with you. We aren’t fans of whiplash listening, but we do like roller coaster rides as long as we know what we’re in for.

Cha-Cha-Changes

Now onto the second part of the episode where I share the behind-the-scenes of going live with Podcasting 2.0’s Live Item Tag via Blubrry’s PowerPress plugin.

This is episode 19 and I can tell you I have changed how I do this show more times than I care to count. You may or may not have noticed the changes. I can tell you the version of the podcast in this episode is in some ways more refined and in other ways even more rudimentary.

In some episodes, I cringed hitting publish, but I needed to remind myself “Progress Not Perfection” I also experienced quite a bit of #FailFastGetGood. I think (cross my fingers) that I am finally approaching the Get Good mark…maybe…hopefully…only time will tell.

I have definitely gotten a whole lot more comfortable navigating the Podcasting 2.0 features inside the PowerPress plugin. I’m not using all the available features, but I sure am curious to do more. I figured for the purposes of this challenge I would stick with Live Item Tag, Value4Value, and the Person tag.

If I just threw you for a loop. Not to worry. Episodes 21-30 I will talk in-depth about what is available inside PowerPress as it relates to Podcasting 2.0 features and share more about my experience or what I like to call Podcast Brain Groove Development.
